The elegant one-size silhouette drapes effortlessly, with an asymmetric shape that creates a soft cascade of silk. Finished with French seams and a delicate pin hem, it combines refined craftsmanship with fluid movement.

The Celestial Steed design is part of the Fairytale di Firenze Spring 2026 collection by Sabina Savage.  It draws inspiration from Italian Renaissance art and its fascination with beauty, symbolism, and imagined worlds. At its centre stands a powerful horse inspired by Orso, believed to have competed in Lorenzo de’ Medici’s jousting tournament of 1469.

The bold composition reflects the horse studies of Antonio Pisanello in the Codex Vallardi, alongside Renaissance equestrian works by Albrecht Dürer. Armorial elements such as a sabaton, gauntlet, and striped jousting lance reference historical tournament armour, while carnations and daisies evoke devotion, renewal, and the cycle of the sun.

Celestial motifs including a heraldic sun, the moon of Galileo Galilei, and the stars of Giotto frame the scene.
